CONGRATULATIONS Photo Contest Winners! Submissions for the Photo Contest helped raise over $250 for the FW Graduate Student Organization!

 

FIELD WORK CATEGORY

1st Place - Dan Linden (FW graduate student)

Dan Linden with a female spotted owl measured and fitted with a backpack radio transmitter for a study in northern California on barred owl and spotted owl interactions.

2nd Place - Patricia Thompson (FW undergraduate student)

Fisheries and Wildlife club assisting the MDNR with duck banding. Students helped untangle ducks from a net and determined species, age (juvenile vs. adult) and sex of individual ducks that were banded.

 

SCENIC CATEGORY

1st Place - Caitlin Donnelly (FW undergraduate student)

Jagged iceberg scene off of the coast of Svalbard, Arctic Norway.

2nd Place - Tom Alwin (FW graduate student)

Aquatic macrophytes in Bear Lake (Clare County, MI).

 

WILDLIFE CATEGORY

1st Place - Clint Otto (FW graduate student)

Cruziohyla craspedopus a neotropical treefrog found in the western Amazon Basin.

2nd Place - Emily Johnston (FW graduate student)

A bat hiding at the base of a heliconia leaf spiral in Costa Rica.
